Lucknow University 2023 Admissions Counseling

Lucknow University invites applications for admission in engineering and pharmacy UG programmes for the session starting 2023-24.

B.Tech.

a) No. of seats: 480

b) Admission criteria: JEE-Mains-2023 score

c) Eligibility: Candidate should have passed (10+2) examination and obtained at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of SC/ST candidates) in the subjects taken together from UP Board, CBSE or any recognised board.

B.Pharm.

a) No. of seats: 100

b) Admission criteria: CUET-UG 2023 score

c) Eligibility: Candidate should obtained at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of SC/ST candidates) in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics / Biology / Biotechnology / Computer Science in intermediate (10+2) examination from UP Board or CBSE or any recognised board.

Application procedure: Candidates need to apply online. In the online registration form, candidates will have to:

- Fill in their basic information like Name, Fathers Name, Gender, DOB, Category, Adhaar number, etc.  

- Upload category certificates (issued on or after 1 Sep 2020).

- Fill class 10 and 12 marks and upload certificates.

- Fill percentile obtained in the specified competitive exam and upload its certificate.

- Fill branch choice (as applicable).

Counseling: An offline counseling will be conducted at Facult of Engineering, 2nd Campus, Janakipuram, University of Lucknow, Lucknow through which seat will be allotted to the candidate as per the Choices/Preferences submitted by the Candidate.

About the university: Established in 1920, Lucknow University started teaching on July 17, 1921 – both formal and informal. Teaching in the Faculties of Arts, Science, Commerce, and Law was being done in the Canning College and teaching in the Faculty of Medicine in the King George's Medical College and Hospital. The Canning College was handed over to the University on July 1, 1922, although previous to this date the buildings, equipment, staff, etc., belonging to the Canning College had been ungrudgingly placed at the disposal of the University for the purposes of teaching and residence.

The King George's Medical College and the King George's Hospital were transferred by the Government to the University on the March 1, 1921. Three Colleges provided the nucleus for the establishment of the University - King George's Medical College (Now Known as King George's Medical University), Canning College and Isabella Thoburn College.
